The challenge

You have thirty minutes to make a judgement that shapes somebody's next decade, and probably your team's next two years. Everyone knows first interviews mostly measure who interviews well — not who is good — and that this quietly filters out exactly the people who are strongest and least polished. The evidence that would tell you the truth usually exists. It is just not in front of you, and the candidate has no way to put it there without sounding like they are boasting.

What it does about it

Now imagine walking in already knowing what they have actually built, how they think, and what is genuinely worth asking. The Briefer writes you that from consented, verified evidence — and the candidate can read the same brief you received, so nobody is ambushed and the half hour is spent on the real conversation.

How it works

It starts only once a student accepts your introduction, and works only from evidence they agreed to share. The brief you receive is the brief they can read — there is no second, private version, in either direction.
