The challenge

Somewhere in four thousand programmes is the one that fits how you think, teaches what the next decade actually needs, and would take you. Every one of them was written by someone trying to be chosen, so the marketing all sounds the same. Meanwhile the ground keeps moving — the field that looked safe five years ago is being automated, and the one nobody had heard of is hiring. Being told you can study anything sounds like freedom right up until you are the one who has to choose. What you needed was never more options. It was somebody to narrow them honestly, and tell you why.

What it does about it

Now imagine somebody had already read all four thousand, knew how you think, and cared more about you being right than about anyone being chosen. That is the Pathfinder. It narrows the whole catalogue down to the places that genuinely fit you, ranks them, and tells you why each one is there.

How it works

It works from things it can measure: the level you are eligible for, how you think, the field a programme belongs to, and what your evidence supports. The ordering is calculated, not decided — nothing can be paid for a better place in it — and it re-runs whenever your file changes, so what you see is never older than you are.

What you get

A map of your real options that reorders itself as you grow — with a reason attached to every place on it, so choosing stops being a guess. Its matches are what the Cartographer measures your gap against and what the Narrator builds your story around, and a university's Forecaster learns from where students like you actually enrol.
