Arrives with the first design partner

The challenge

You have taught this course for years, and every September you meet a room of names. Somewhere in it is a student who spent three years building payment systems, another who has never written a line outside a lab, someone who thinks in diagrams and someone who cannot start until they have argued it aloud. By week six you might know two of them. The information was never missing — it was sitting in the applications, the CVs, the assessments, in a form nobody could turn into anything you could teach with. So you do what every good teacher does: you design for an average student who does not exist, and you find out who was actually in the room at the end, from the marks.

What it does about it

Now imagine walking in on the first day already able to read your own cohort. Not names and grades — the shape of the room: what people have actually done, how they reason, where the genuine range is and where everybody happens to be the same. The Aide turns that into groups worth being in, runs the exercise, and keeps a record of what each student really contributed — so the exercise you always meant to run costs you an afternoon instead of three weeks.

How it works

It composes from what students have chosen to share and the platform can evidence: how each person reasons, and what they have actually done. If two people in an AI engineering cohort both spent a year on databases and nobody has touched the front end, it knows — because the roles, the field and the length of each are sitting in the CVs they uploaded — and it does not put those two together. As the work happens, it also writes down what each student actually did and saves that to the student's own record — so it belongs to them afterwards, not just to your marks sheet.

What you get

Signal where there was only a roster — your own classroom made legible before the first seminar rather than after the last. Groups built on real difference, an exercise you did not have to organise, and a record of what each student actually did. It works from the same picture the student's own Profiler built and the work history their Examiner checked. And every student keeps their own copy of what they did, to show later.
