Mojo the Skills Cartographer
finds your gap · A student's team
Working today
The challenge
The half-life of a skill is getting shorter every year. Some of what you will be taught is already being automated; some of what will matter most is not on any syllabus yet. Employers have quietly stopped believing in the qualification alone and started asking what you can actually do. And you are expected to work all of this out on your own, from the inside, while also being a student. Knowing where you want to end up turns out to be the easy half. The hard half is that nobody has ever named the three specific things standing between you and it.
What it does about it
Now imagine having someone whose only job is to stand between where you are and where you are going, and name what is actually in the way. The Cartographer compares what your file can already prove against what your chosen path demands, and gives you the shortest honest route across — three real things, not thirty aspirational ones.
How it works
It compares two lists it can actually see: the skills your file can prove, and the skills your chosen path requires. Anything it cannot trace back to a document, an assessment or a completed credential is left out entirely — which is why the list stays short, and why nothing on it is padding.
What you get
The shortest honest route from who you are now to who you are trying to become — three real things you could start this month, not a wish-list you will never finish. It works from what your Profiler and Pathfinder already established, and what it finds shapes what your Opportunity Scout brings you next.
